STOVE Please use caution around the glass-top stove as it can scratch or break. Never try wiping it down while it’s still HOT. Wait until it cools down before wiping with a wet cloth. FRIDGE Please try not to use more than the allowed space in the fridge and be respectful of food items not belonging to you. Your shelves are labelled with your room number and unless given permission from another guest, you should only eat your food. FOOD STORAGE There is food storage in a designated spot in the pantry. You’re welcome to use any spices in the kitchen for cooking. Upon check out, please ensure all your food is removed or explicitly given to another person in the house. TRASH Do not over load the trash cans, if they are full, please take the trash out. Other Common Areas DINING AREA Please clean up after using the table or bar seating. If you eat in your room, please ensure any dishes are returned PROMPTLY to the kitchen and washed. Dishes left in the room can attract bugs in the house. LIVING ROOM Please pick up after using the space. Please, no shoes on the couch. Be mindful about sharing the space with other guests and residents. BATHROOM It is essential to keep this space clean and free of clutter. Please clean up after yourself. Toilet paper and shampoo (Blue bottle) are provided. Additional towels may be requested. Please ask for help if you are unsure about how to operate the machines. If clothes are in the washer, kindly transfer them to the dryer. If clothes are in the dryer, place them on top of the dryer so you may use it. If your clothes are left unattended, they may be transferred by another resident. However, it is in everyone’s best interest that you plan your laundry day accordingly to minimize inconveniencing other guests or residents (and vice versa). Other Guidelines INTERNET Internet is free to use. The login instructions can be found on the whiteboard in the kitchen. Please ensure the internet is used appropriately, any illegal activity that is reported by the internet provider to the host will result in immediate dismissal from the premise. QUIET HOURS Quiet hours are 10pm-8am. During these times, socializing and TV viewing may still occur, but the expectation is that volume will be considerably lower. If another guest tells you the volume is too loud during these hours, the expectation is that you will be respectful of their request. Please be mindful to turn off bathroom and kitchen lights when you leave. The family room lamp is set to timers to prevent lights from being left on all night, so you need not worry about those. PARKING Parking is available on the street. Please try not to block other cars in the driveway. Please do not block the mailbox. If needed, you can also park on the driveway but ensure there is enough room for people to leave. CO-LIFE BEHAVIOR Privacy, respect, and cleanliness are of essence.
